About Sharifa Brooks Read
Sharifa lives and works in Brighton where there is a vibrant creative atmosphere.
After leaving Brighton Art School, now Brighton University, with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration,
she worked freelance and then as an illustrator. She qualified as a teacher of Art and Design and taught for many years before deciding to pursue her own work, which has a distinct style and is rich and varied in its themes and content.
